We Got The Beat | Notes From The Cinema
https://notesfromthecinema.wordpress.com/2014/12/19/we-got-the-beat
Notes From The Cinema. Explorations through the world of film. We Got The Beat. Although it may seem obvious, my goal of watching 365 films by the end of March 2015 really. About quantity. There was a time, decades ago, when I was extremely discriminating about what I watched for fear that a bad film might live on in my subconscious forever. But now I find it as interesting to find out what didn’t work in a film, and why, as to what worked so well as to go without notice. Too distressing a thought. And e...

Notes From The Cinema. Explorations through the world of film. November 13, 2014. Windsor Makes Me Feel At Home. As I stood with my hand clenching the stanchion inside the London tube after an early evening of salted peanuts and cosmopolitans, the supportive friend across from me said:. Let’s face it, I thought this was a bad idea from the start! We were discussing how I could spin the story of my impending failure, that after vowing publicly! But I did finish 4 short films in the last 4 months! My toler...

Notes From The Cinema. Explorations through the world of film. The Oscar Winner That Made Me…snooze! With almost everything in our house having finally found its place I greeted this sunny first day of March with a long overdue sense of calm. And with that I hope comes a return to routine, something with which I have a love-hate relationship. I have always been fascinated with the things people feel they. To do on a daily basis? Here’s my take on the latest batch of cinema treats:. The film is quite easy...

Notes from the Chalkboard
Notes from the Chalkboard. Thursday, July 22, 2010. I can't help but think, "I did it, I did it, I did it! As Dora would say! This was my second chance at completing this class, and I finally made it! As I am now typing with a toy being pushed into my lap! I loved the idea of answering, "What have I learned today? On my own blog. Isn't that what we expect of our students? While exploring the Ning Network and Classroom 2.0 I found a discussion about the use of collaborative calendars. It will take some ge...

Notes from the Chaos
Notes from the Chaos. Friday, August 13, 2010. I should really be packing. Yes, I should really be packing up the house. We're getting there, but, BOY! It has been a pain in the arse. I really hate moving, but since marrying my studly Mr. Right, we have moved 8 times. I should be a pro, right? I have been thinking about all the things I will miss about our house here in Lyons (in no particular order):. 1 The views. We have 360-degree views from my house. Everwhere. We look is something beautiful to behold.

Notes From The Cinema | explorations through the world of film
Notes From The Cinema. Explorations through the world of film. July 20, 2017. I’m pretty sure) Terrence and I Have Called It Quits. My blog has been neglected for a long time. So, what happened? Last year I was occupied with the post-production of my web documentary. And I’ve learned that when I am in an edit suite all day long unfortunately the last thing I want to do in the evening is cosy up to a film. And then there was the political turmoil. I now no longer need to get my political news strictly thr...

Notes From the Clarinet
Notes From the Clarinet. Thursday, May 10, 2012. I sometimes feel guilty over inanimate objects, like if I knock over something in my room and don't pick it up. I really feel like I have a relationship with nature. I think I'm spiritually connected to the Earth, whether that be through God or something else. I always want to cry when I'm angry. I always think I'm fat. I feel really uncomfortable wearing clothes that make me look attractive. I always feel like a slut. I think the Big Bang Theory is funny.
