acquisitive eye: March 2012
http://acquisitiveeye.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 29, 2012. Apologies for the repetition of some segments of text - I have been joggling stuff around for the entry of the Bristol Biennial catalogue. 1946 – 1986. Our family tree had been burnt to a stump. Whole branches, great networks of leaves disappeared into the sky and ground. There was no stone that marked their passage. All that was left were the fading photographs that my father kept in a yellow envelope under his desk. [1]. Helen Epstein, Children of the Holocaust.

Friday, November 8, 2013. I have met with two disappointments on my quest to blog. Firstly, I got my roll of film back - the results are pretty underwhelming! I will (maybe) publish 2 images out of a roll of 36! I am in the process of rescanning my slide film in the hopes of better results (wishful thinking) - so this is to be continued. . . In the meantime here is one image I am happy with. I took it on the black sand beach at Mokau, North Island, New Zealand. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Tuesday, November 12, 2013. Louise and Greg's converted shipping container and caravan, Mokau, North Island, New Zealand. View down river from Louise and Greg's, Mokau. On our way to Mokau from Hamilton it just so happened that it was the day before whitebait season started. These guys were setting up their stands and moth nets. The hills opposite the whitebait stands and river. Nathan and the whitebait fisherman's dog. Mokau back beach, driftwood heaven. Driftwood shack, back beach, Mokau.
