Monday, July 14, 2014. I drove around Vancouver today - lots of small ethnic neighborhoods, mostly Asian, with their respective restaurants, shops and sometimes attire. For lunch I went to my favorite ethnic restaurant, namely a sports bar, where I conversed for hours with the bartender/proprietress and a regular customer. Wednesday, July 9, 2014. It's a long drive from Sioux Falls, SD to Buffalo, WY. But speed limits are high {75 in SD, 80 in WY) and traffic is light, and I am exhausted. My Subaru's gas consumption went way up. Why? They don't tell you the alcohol content at the pumps, I'm guessing is around 20%. It turns out that "Regular", which has no alcohol, costs 10% more than "Premium", and gives 20% better mileage. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Saturday, July 26, 2014. Well, Lake Superior was shrouded in fog as I rolled into Thunder Bay. It turns out the motel is in a less salubrious part of town. The local tavern has "shooters" named "Pornstar", "Slippery Nipple" and "Black Banana", amongst others. No vegetarian meals.
