454 Tennent Road PO Box 5 Tennent, NJ 07763 732.446.9238. The 1778 Revolutionary War "Battle of Monmouth" battlefield is adjacent to the cemetery. Over the years cannon and musket balls have been found throughout the cemetery. At the top of Oak Hill is the burial place of Lt. Col. Henry Monckton. He was the highest ranking British officer to be killed in action. Nearby is the spot where General Washington reprimanded General Lee for retreating which later led to Lee's court-martial.

As cemetery plots were sold, the purchaser was given a certificate of voting rights (one per grave site) in the management of the cemetery. Those who purchased plots prior to 1910 were given the same rights - one vote per grave site. An annual meeting of plot holders or their representatives occurs each January. Welcome to our newly re-. Site, any comments would be appreciated. Email: webmaster. This year is the 333rd anniversary of the founding of Archbishop Tenison’s School. Archbishop Thomas Tenison founded the school named after him in 1685. Little would he have realised that more than 300 hundred years later the school is still educating boys from London and more importantly as far as this web site is concerned there is a flourishing former pupils association with members ranging in age from 19 to 90.

Small Town Queen Anne. 8212; Tennessee River Country. 8212; Old Photo Album. Welcome to our place on Lower Lick Creek Road. The river is just a five minute drive from the house. There are several boat ramps handy. The creek is a pleasant five minute walk from the house. Deer in my yard in the early morning. I don't hunt but you could if you owned the property. First, Some History. When I was a young guy I hardly knew how to roll paint on a wall. I was scared of any power tool that had a sharp blade.
