Saturday, March 10, 2007. I only realized half way through the day that today is officially 6 MONTHS since our Log In Date in China (LID). Time has gone by so fast it seems to get easier all the time to accept the wait, and realize "it is what it is" and we will have our daughter when it is our time. Tuesday, February 20, 2007. Last weekend was our TampaBay Waiting Families luncheon and we got to celebrate in many ways. Our friends Michelle and Neil returned only 3 weeks ago with their beautiful angel Chloe. Tuesday, January 30, 2007. Thank You, Thank You, and Thank You Again! I belong to several Yahoo Groups made up of couples all over the United States who are also adopting from China. One of my groups had a "January Cyber Shower". About 30 of us signed up and one of our fellow members was in charge of designating "secret pals" for the gift swap. Monday, April 23, 2007. Friends with new babies! We have been trying to keep busy and we are currently getting our house ready to put for sale in hopes of moving back to KY before the baby comes. Of course with the current housing market in Florida, it's hard to say what will happen first - the house selling or the baby coming. Saturday, September 30, 2006. The Chinese Moon Festival is on the 15th of the 8th lunar month. It's also known as the Mid-autumn Festival. Chinese culture is deeply imbedded in traditional festivals. Just like Christmas and Thanksgiving in the West, the Moon Festival is one of the most important traditional events for the Chinese.
