Operation Rosebud

Sunday, July 5. Arrival of our baby. BABY #3 HAS ARRIVED! Here is Fiona finishing off her Final Exam for her Big Sister Course by singing the baby a song. Mr J graciously agreed to take the squishy and uncomfortable bed in my hospital room. The nurses find this amazing and hilarious. I am just glad that I don't have to sit in that bed any more! Showered and ready to go home yesterday. Oh- you want to know if it's a boy or girl? HE is a BOY and. We named him KIT CALVIN. I have a son. Dad's going to tell u...

Operation Rosebud: We are cheap... and that's Okay!

http://www.operationrosebud.blogspot.com/2015/05/we-are-cheap-and-thats-okay.html

Sunday, May 17. We are cheap. and that's Okay! I am one-half Welling, on my mother's side. With that particular set of genetics comes the "Cheap-skate gene". I will do a lot and put up with a LOT to save a buck or two. I will walk to the store 1.5 miles to combine a workout and getting groceries. Would it be faster to go in the car? Yes, but that would be an additional $4 in gas money. So. I'm cheap. They would LOVE to sleep on air mattresses and in sleeping bags forever! So, if we'd stayed in a hotel, w...

Operation Rosebud: A challenge from an unexpected source

http://www.operationrosebud.blogspot.com/2015/06/a-challenge-from-unexpected-source.html

Monday, June 15. A challenge from an unexpected source. Despite having broken her toe that morning! What a great gal! There was the initial hiccup on discovering Fiona had head-lice on our first morning in Mississippi. So, we ended up waiting for 2 hours (from 2:30-4:30. you know, great timing for jet-lagged children! Mr J hasn't found anything and I'm pretty anti-touch when it comes to my head. So there was that. And find out why our referral had not been processed ("Oh! Our new van is AWESOME! The hous...

Operation Rosebud: Adventures in the South

http://www.operationrosebud.blogspot.com/2015/07/adventures-in-south.html

Wednesday, July 1. Adventures in the South. First, let me begin by saying that life is getting tricky, internet-wise. And then getting different (wildly different! Information from every representative we spoke with. Let's just be grateful that we have internet at our home. Also, do NOT get me started on the permutations of our phone (cellular) service. We are on our 3rd phone numbers, but Mr J assures me that everything is settled and I can safely give out my number now and it will NOT change again.

Operation Rosebud: Rough nights and long days

http://www.operationrosebud.blogspot.com/2015/06/rough-nights-and-long-days.html

Monday, June 15. Rough nights and long days. When you are living out of a bunch of suitcases in a hotel apartment, it's difficult to fill the day. We stocked up on library books and have spent some fun times reading, both here and in the car, as we've gone around getting everything set up. It's been especially sweet to hear Ruby read to Fiona while we drive around town. BTW- do NOT ever get this book:. Put a warning on it or something! Anyone know where you can buy 100% DEET by the gallon? Pregnant lady ...

The Payne Family: Disney World

http://majorpaynefamily.blogspot.com/2012/10/disney-world.html

Tuesday, October 2, 2012. We stayed at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. I totally recommend it! Our first day we spent at the Magic Kingdom. William was so ready to ride Space Mountain so that is where we went first. After he rode it once then said he didn't want to ride it again because of the sounds it made. I think it was a little too scary. It took a while to get used to the Fast Pass system but man, was it useful! Whoever came up with it was a genius! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Payne Family: August 2012

http://majorpaynefamily.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 13, 2012. Just got the kids' portraits done. It wasn't near the stressful event that it has been in the past. Charlotte was surprisingly cooperative. Now we just need a session for the whole family! Links to this post. Monday, August 6, 2012. William has turned 6! The party began with lunch. We had popcorn cones (made from cardstock and stuck onto a thread spool rack), Lego jello, fruit and veggies, Lego cheese and crackers, Goldfish, and pizza cut to look like giant Lego blocks. Then we h...

The Payne Family: April 2012

http://majorpaynefamily.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, April 26, 2012. I'm finally getting out my Easter pictures. That weekend was pretty eventful and chock full of egg-hunty goodness! On the first, we went to William's school for a church/community egg hunt. There were crafts inside and a cute little puppet show to teach the kids about the real Easter story and how eggs, bunnies, and candy factor it. Little Charlotte was not walking just yet so I had a heck of a time trying to wrangle her in and not let her crawl into the street. Who's Been Check...

The Payne Family: June 2012

http://majorpaynefamily.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html

Sunday, June 17, 2012. Sean recently went on a trip to Norfolk, VA for work. He stopped off at the Navy Exchange and found a kids sized uniform. He called home to see if William would be interested in wearing it. Was he ever! When Sean came home, William wanted to sleep in his new uniform. I snapped a few pictures of my two matching Navy guys. Links to this post. Friday, June 15, 2012. Our Summer of Hershey! Sean didn't think the line for the Starship America was worth it! Charlotte LOVES all characters.

Friday, March 16, 2012. Relief Society 170th Birthday. We just had our Relief Society 170th Birthday Celebration. It was wonderful! I got to plan, decorate and serve fancy food. I was in heaven! Anyway, we had lovely event. We served chicken salad sandwiches, scalloped potatoes, salad with feta, cranberries, and almonds, and assorted fruits. Our program was great and very moving. We had three speakers and a couple of musical numbers. All were fabulous! Links to this post. Wednesday, March 14, 2012. Just ...

Monday, August 15, 2011. He's such a big kid now. We had an awesome party to celebrate my special little guy. Of course the party started for me weeks before while I made the birthday banner, party hats, pom poms party favors, and planned the alligator themed menu. Party Favors with Alligator Toys and Goodies Inside. First we had lunch while the party guests arrived. Ham and Cheese Alligator Sandwich. Peanut Butter and Jelly Star Finger Sandwiches. The Payne Family: Go Team Panthers!

http://majorpaynefamily.blogspot.com/2012/09/go-team-panthers.html

Wednesday, September 5, 2012. In the end it was all worth it. The Panthers did great! They stopped keeping score when we were up 10 to 1. William even scored a goal! Thankfully, the weather was nice and I only had to run out on the field twice to drag Charlotte off the playing field during the game. I think it might be Sean's turn to go to the next game. Operation Rota (Now Defunct). Wednesday, August 29, 2007. This is why all in all, I highly respect Angelo:. In a DK thread, someone (who really seems to be afflicted with an imperial notion of what goes on in the CNMI) generalized the problem in a manner that reeked of a vision that we are all a bunch of savages running around the islands and are in need of some glorious demigod of advancement to save our hairy, smelly souls.
