In 2015, the Oregon GME Consortium contracted with Tripp Umbach, a nationally recognized firm specializing in healthcare strategy, research and education, with a particular expertise in medical education. Tripp Umbach provided the Consortium with an analysis of Oregon’s readiness to establish additional primary care residency programs, specifically outside of the Portland Metropolitan area, and a plan for developing these programs.
