Thoughts and ramblings from a mother of a bipolar child. Wednesday, December 7, 2011. If You Happen to Think About It. Please say a prayer for my girl. She is really taking her grandmother's death very hard. The first few days were ok, but I think that the finality of death is starting to sink in. She is sad, and angry, and stressed! She is spending more and more of each day in tears of frustration and deep sadness. It hurts my heart to see her pain. So, if you think about it, please pray for her.

Thoughts and ramblings from a mother of a bipolar child. Thursday, November 15, 2012. It Doesn't Get Easier. Today marks the 5 week point of Mary being in a RTF. I can say that it has NOT. Gotten any easier to walk away in that 5 weeks, but it has gotten more manageable. It breaks my heart every time we have to say good-bye, and a little piece of me gets left behind with her when we leave. I am still not "okay" with this, and. At the same time, I wholeheartedly believe that it is the right thing to do.

Lily had a rough start to her week last Monday (Fun and Games with Law Enforcement) but we had a good session with her therapist on Tuesday and moved into a more positive mental space. I'm still fighting the desire for an instant and complete return to my idealized version of family life, even knowing how ludicrous that is! Friday, August 26, 2011. We are busily interacting with a new care team, and getting a very different perspective. The new team, consisting of a therapist as well as TBS therapists, a psychologist and soon, a new psychiatrist, are offering an amazing level of support. Monday, December 26, 2011. Reasons to be Grateful. Our family had a lovely, peaceful Christmas, and I'm thinking about this past year and how much things have changed. The fall brought milestones that felt miraculous. Lily attended a dance party, and when I went in to pick her up, she was laughing, dancing, and holding hands with other kids. Friday, February 1, 2008. NO, NO, NO, NOT THE CARPET! Gav went to take a photo of our new garage doors this afternoon, found one of our sliding doors wide open (an issue in itself) and to his shock also found that we had carpet. It was only two days ago that we met K on site and discussed handover, the timber floor and carpet. He said it would be fine for the carpet to go down after the timber floor, even if this was after handover. Thursday, September 27, 2007. Roof trusses are go! The red sand from Mars.
