Our journey through parenthood and Ethiopian adoption. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We hope everyone has a very. And a Happy New Year! This little gal and her four siblings live in Guatemala. Last Friday, when most of us were Christmas shopping, they were found all alone and eating dirt to fill their bellies. The oldest child of the five, a nine year old girl, is their only mother figure. And share their story with 10 people. I know you're thinking, ten dollars is kind of a lot this week. I me...

Our journey through parenthood and Ethiopian adoption. Willow Temar's First Birthday! There was a time this summer when we really didn't know if she would be home for her first birthday. So it made it even more special for us to have her home for over two months, to be so much more adjusted now, and to be able to celebrate her birthday up right. If the party had been the month we came home, it would have had a completely different feel. This really just felt like a party for our. Next year, she and her h...

Our journey through parenthood and Ethiopian adoption. While almost every other AWAA family waiting for a court date got one this week. we did not. Instead we heard that there are missing documents that have prevented us from being submitted to court. We won't receive a court date until all of these documents are obtained. The missing papers are not on our side and therefore the problem is completely out of our hands. All we can do is wait, which you would think we would be good at by now. In October, my...

http://ourethiopiandaughter.weebly.com/2/post/2010/12/four-months.html

Our journey through parenthood and Ethiopian adoption. We have been officially waiting for a referral for four months! Our agency still estimates that the wait time for an infant girl referral will take 7 - 11 months. We're of course hoping for 7 months. or less! We are currently #15 on the waiting list. Things have moved slowly these past two months for many reasons. We haven't moved very far up the list, but we know that things will start moving eventually. White vinyl - 4.5" x 5"). Beginning in the Middle. Our Crazy Kishpaugh Christmas! February Road Trip… →. 02/11/2012 · 4:42 am. Packed with Passion…. No, I haven’t dropped off the face of the earth…my Christmas just went on and on, and I just realized it is the middle of February! If I could write one word that described my sons, it would be PASSION. Man, they have got it! If half the people I personally know had the passion of my boys, and put it to good use, our world would be changed! 8221; It was 4:50 am! The other day I heard...

Beginning in the Middle. Packed with Passion…. Pressing On… →. 02/21/2012 · 4:57 pm. February Road Trip…. We’ve had a rather dull and boring winter this year, with very little snow, and not much to do outdoors. To liven things up a bit, we decided on taking the family on a mid-winter road trip to Michigan. This was the boy’s first road trip, and we had an action-packed long weekend! Janet, Isaac and Micah also made the trip down from Traverse City, so we had double the fun! On Sunday we headed to Chapel ...

Thursday, January 27, 2011. My cute kiddos and Emery's eating rice cereal! Emery is doing this new thing now where he looks like he is doing push ups. He gets on his hands and toes. It's too cute! He will be crawling really really soon. Where did my little tiny baby go? He's only 6 months old! We started feeding Emery rice cereal last week. The first night he did really well. Now we are just working on it :). I just made a facebook page. Bottom Blessings - another donation. Thank you Clean Green Nappy.

Beginning in the Middle. Home Is Where Mom Is…. 08/24/2012 · 3:43 pm. Our Painfully Stretching HAPPY Days of Summer…. We had a few plans and goals for the summer: 1) to give the boys a taste of summer fun with their new family, 2) to help the boys retain what they had learned in school, and 3) to help the boys get a little closer to being caught up in their education. The funniest memory of that week was when we arrived back home, Borru scrambled to get out of the car, yelling “Let me out! Mid-July took ...

Thursday, June 12, 2014. Obviously a very bad blogger! Dusting off the keyboard for a little update. Time has been flying by! I recently had someone say in conversation (no clue we had adopted) " I don't know how parents of adopted children can love their adopted children the same as their biological children? Our journey through parenthood and Ethiopian adoption... - Adoption Blog

Our journey through parenthood and Ethiopian adoption. Two years ago today, we met the prettiest little girl in the world, on a porch in Africa. There is no car, no house, no promotion, no Facebook status that can compare to the joy of meeting God in the exact place where He asked you to be. I want a life full of these moments. Full of listening and going. Full of the evidence of a great, big God at work in my small life. This one is for the locals. Christie and Adam Derloshon from Love Is. Ethiopia.
