Monday, July 7, 2014. Replacing Backband Straps in a Dagger Mamba. Look at that worn out elastic! Back in 2005, when my kayak was made, Dagger made the mistake of using elastic in the straps that hold the seat backband up. As it is now 2014, the elastic in my kayak has completely deteriorated and I decided to replace the straps (only one of which was even still in the boat) with webbing. Cut the webbing to match the old straps, with extra to make up for not stretching. Thread through the backband. Thread...
