THE STILETTO GANG: On the Tube (Or, Should I say, Flat Screen)
http://thestilettogang.blogspot.com/2015/05/on-tube-or-should-i-say-flat-screen.html
Thursday, May 21, 2015. On the Tube (Or, Should I say, Flat Screen). I'm not a TV watcher. I suppose some of that is my dislike for sitting still for too long (I feel guilt over all the things I should be doing). And some is simply not wanting to get wrapped up in something that I then have to add to my already brimming to-do list. That said, there are a few shows over the years that have captured my attention. 2) In 7th and 8th grade, I was a huge General Hospital watcher (Ice Princess, anyone? 7) Other...

THE STILETTO GANG: Frustrations Plaguing Me Due to New Email Address
http://thestilettogang.blogspot.com/2015/08/frustrations-plaguing-me-due-to-new.html
Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Frustrations Plaguing Me Due to New Email Address. Because I kept getting messages from people I've never heard of saying I was sending them inappropriate emails, I went to my server and asked what to do. First solution, change my password on my email address. That was done, but I kept getting complaints. A new email address means alerting all my contacts. Did that, took forever. (And I don't think it took.). And why, pray tell, didn't those who got them just delete them? At leas...

THE STILETTO GANG: May 2015
http://thestilettogang.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Recently, I spent an hour at our historical documents library. Chasing down the names of the trolley stops between Tacoma and Spanaway Lake in the year 1914. Why, I hear you ask? What possible strange writer thing could I be up to? No, although now that you mention it, I would totally read that novel. Is the author of the Carrie Mae Mysteries. Tales from the City of Destiny. And An Unseen Current. You can also view the Carrie Mae. Youtube video or catch up with her on. Even when ...

THE STILETTO GANG: April 2015
http://thestilettogang.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 28, 2015. THEY'RE OUT TO GET ME! Am I paranoid if somebody really is out to get me? I am convinced someone has posted a large bounty to anyone who will take out me and my car. But now other drivers are out to get me, and not to give me a ticket! One evening I was coming home from critique group, thinking about my book in progress and how to fix the egregious errors my critique partners had pointed out, in the zone. Left brain: “I swear! Right brain: “Leave me alone! I drove on, and in a co...

Friday, August 28, 2015. Flying With Mary Poppins. Flying with Mary Poppins by Debra H. Goldstein. The little girl was the youngest of three sisters. Seated in the third row, directly behind the family, I was concerned when I realized her parents placed her between her sisters rather than next to them. Was she the buffer to keep the older children from fighting? How could the parents possibly reach and control her if she became bored? Posted by Debra H. Goldstein. Links to this post. There is a line of m...

THE STILETTO GANG: When Characters Withhold Information
http://thestilettogang.blogspot.com/2015/08/when-characters-withhold-information.html
Tuesday, August 11, 2015. When Characters Withhold Information. I usually know my characters well before I begin to write. Certainly I know what they want, what they fear, what their major flaw is, and what changes they will make in the life of the story, i.e., their character arc. But recently, I met a very stubborn protagonist. I should probably capitalize that word Stubborn. I could probably capitalize every letter of that word. STUBBORN. I decided to interview her. My story made public? She attacked ...

THE STILETTO GANG: February 2015

Friday, February 27, 2015. The Bobbsey Twins and Agatha Christie by Debra H. Goldstein. The Bobbsey Twins and Agatha Christie by Debra H. Goldstein. When I was a child, I was given a copy of The Bobbsey Twins of Lakeport by Laura Lee Hope. It’s book jacket claimed “Ghosts! Not only were the characters of Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot addictive, but their reasoning abilities challenged me to read carefully so that I could beat them to figuring out whodunit.
