I didn't venture far from home today, but my daughter made a 900 mile trek across Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico in the snow and freezing rain. Tonight she was safely in her Nana's kitchen making cookies. Letting your kids grow up is not for cowards. Tonight I am thankful for traveling mercies for my girl. Friday, April 13, 2007. Please Pray for Elijah. Baptist hospital around 11am and the doctors are presently trying to diagnose his condition. The malaria smear they performed came back negative and they've ruled out meningitis. They're suspecting a virus of some kind but are still looking into the matter. I thought I might go for a $59 Guitar Hero at Target but I knew I'd have to be in line a 5:00 am, to get into the store when it opened a 6:00 am, to buy one of the 5 $59 Guitar Heroes that they had. I'd rather pony up the extra $40. If Santa even buys it, which I'm not sure she (or he) wants to. But are they enough of a bargain to trample someone to death. Parker Family Adoption Journey. Our travels to Kiev to adopt a girl from Ukraine. Monday, November 10, 2008. We arrived at home about 12:30 AM Sunday.
