I then had to go home and prep for horse summer camp this week. My time off work is used to do more work! But really, I love it and it helps me pay off the large vet bills my accident-prone horse can't resist. Tillie enjoying the attention from summer camp students. Her previous farrier had her toes long and break over in the wrong spot. Tillie all tucked in. Well i get...

Eventing Saddlebred Style: October 2016
http://eventingsaddlebredstyle.blogspot.com/2016_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 31, 2016. The other day, I was riding Stinker up in the pasture where the path is cut for a gallop track. He moved up into the trot, so I let him go. He proceeded to start cantering and I said why not and let him go. It was fun and it felt like he was going fast, but I don't think he is actually very fast*. Not a gallop, but it is pretty much the same just quicker. He doesn't need more speed for anything I want to do, this is purely out of curiosity. Friday, October 28, 2016. I want to ge...

New Orleans, Louisiana. Ride more. Save more. Live more. Money Mondays – Cast your vote! December 19, 2016. December 18, 2016. So in my last post. I mentioned how the Louisiana T-shirt line will be done as of December 31st. There are many reasons for this but one of them is that I want more than 10% of profits to go to an equine charity and it just wasn’t doable with so much online overhead. So, I will now have a charity shirt where 100% of profits will go to an equine charity! How about some hats? I cou...

http://jumperdiva.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 24, 2015. You guys get 2 posts today since I was behind in posting from yesterday! We've all been there. The agonizing search for a saddle to fit our beloved ponykins. One that fits them better than Cinderella's glass slipper and is more comfy than an entire couch made out of that stuff in the Ogilvy pads. Oh yeah, and it would be nice if I could still actually AFFORD said pampered pony after the purchase of what is essentially a very expensive chair. Makes me ride like Margie Engle.

Something To Talk About: Even riding instructors need instructors

Tack - Product Reviews. Rolex Results and Statistics. Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Even riding instructors need instructors. Occasionally Ill get the question: "Why do you take lessons when you yourself teach lessons? The answer is one I am sure both professionals and amateurs can relate to: Because there is always room for improvement. That sounds so simple, but for some reason it still doesn't seem to satisfy the questioner or give them the answer they are looking for. One who trains, particularly animals.
