Monday, September 4, 2017. We flew from Minden, NV (MEV) to John Day, OR (GCD) to watch the total eclipse. Due to our last minute plans, the special glasses couldn't be obtained, nor could I find the right welder lenses. Cecil came through with some extra pairs for us. We first flew to Lakeview, OR (LKV) for a short break and to time our arrival over GCD so that we would not have to mix it up with the crowd in the air for very long. When totality was over, the fleet headed back to where they came from.

I landed back at Ely about seven hours later with over 25 gallons of fuel still onboard! Let's see any other LSA top that! Sunset flying with Russ in Florida.

Sunday, November 30, 2014. Key West to Belize City. I flew from Melbourne to pick up Andres in Ft. Lauderdale, and then we flew over the Everglades on the way to the Key West. Andres mounted a GoPro camera on the wingtip for the whole flight, and controlled if from his iPhone. Key West ready for 8am departure. Jim and Andres looking forward to the flight!
