http://jimsfigs.blogspot.com/2014/02/tribe-chief-morrow-all-ready-to-go.html
Sunday, February 23, 2014. Tribe Chief Morrow - All Ready to Go! I really enjoyed painting this piece and I hope it shows. My intention was to balance the realistic appearance of the Gorilla with the fantasy aspects of Raffa's brilliant sculpt. Hopefully that has been achieved. March 14, 2014 at 4:29 AM. Figure It Out: 17th Century Polish Hussar - Update 2
http://jimsfigs.blogspot.com/2014/02/17th-century-polish-hussar-update-2.html
Saturday, February 15, 2014. 17th Century Polish Hussar - Update 2. A few refinements on this wonderful bust to share. The face is near completion with further highlights, hair painted and the eyes further refined. I have to say that I'm not totally thrilled with the eyes. From some angles they look great, while from others they aren't quite right. February 16, 2014 at 2:27 PM. Excellent paintjob, so realistic! February 16, 2014 at 3:10 PM. Thank you. He is coming along alright. View my complete profile.

Thursday, March 27, 2014. President George Washington - Completed. So much fun and the fastest piece I've ever done. I'm all excited and ready to start the next bust. I'm not sure I'm ready to use acrylics on a 54mm figure yet but we shall see. Enjoy, and more importantly buy one of these busts when they hit the market! March 29, 2014 at 10:03 AM. Sunday, June 30, 2013. Erich von Ludendorff bust - Update #1. I recently held one of my little figure painting classes at our local hobby shop "Section 8 Hobbies" here in Buffalo and as part of my demo I began painting this bust from Ulrich Puchala's line of portrait busts. I have been meaning to start on this for some time and this was the perfect opportunity. Tuesday, June 11, 2013. Centurio Quintus Sertorius Festus - Update #4. As always, once dry, highlight tones are added using a glaze of Titanium W...

Monday, October 21, 2013. El Greco Laconian Hoplite - Completed. Wednesday, October 16, 2013. El Greco Laconian Hoplite - Helmet and Cloth. The first step was to block in the color panels using Mars Yellow, Raw Umber and Mars Black. These areas of solid color were then stippled and blended with an old soft brush to develop transitions in the tonal values. Mars Yellow and Titanium White were used to begin highlighting and unifying the finish. Thursday, October 10, 2013. So first let's get the name change ...

Sunday, May 4, 2014. The Battle of Strasbourg - Update #1. Although these pictures are a few months old I wanted to post an update on the SBS for this vignette I have been working on. If you saw my first post you will remember that this will be a two figure vignette, one on foot and one mounted. Progress has been slow but this where we stand at the moment. http://jimsfigs.blogspot.com/2014/03/president-george-washington-new-michael.html
Monday, March 17, 2014. President George Washington - New Michael Miniatures Bust. A bit of a surprise here! I am happy to show my progress on a new bust by Matt Springer and soon to be released as part of the Michael Miniatures line. The bust depicts George in his later years as President of the United States. I delayed talking about or showing any pictures until I felt comfortable with the direction it was going. March 18, 2014 at 7:05 AM. Looks great, Jim! March 18, 2014 at 1:20 PM. Calvin Tan - Histo...
