http://pikawriting.blogspot.com/2015/07/camp-nanowrimo-day-three-on-road.html
What do Pikas write about? These are stories and things that I need to write about. Friday, July 3, 2015. Camp NanoWrimo Day Three: On the Road. Last week Bunny worked up the courage to go on an adventure with Boar. This is the beginning of the adventure. 8220;I’ve never been on a ferry before, is it scary? 8221; Bunny asked nervously. He tried to wriggle down into the bag a little more. The whistle blew and Bunny shuddered. 8220;Do you want me to tell you about having a cappuccino in Milan again? Bunny ...

A local guy, Cisco Cycles. Has started a new business of swapping and recycling bikes. My husband's old late 70's Motorbecane hadn't been ridden in 20 years, so I brought it over to Cisco Cycles to see if he had a road bike. There I met Gigi:. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Working out with Tek: February 2013
http://pikagirl.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Working out with Tek. Sunday, February 10, 2013. Nemo came, dumped a couple of feet of snow on us, then left. For many it was a cause of panic, partially because of the timing (the 35th anniversary of the Blizzard of '78 was a couple of days ago) and partially because we are a nation of wusses nowadays. I shrugged and said, "I guess I'm at that age where a little exercise wouldn't kill me. I'm out here with Flogging Molly so no biggie.". The moral of my story? Does there have to be one? I got to the gym ...

http://pikabiking.blogspot.com/2013/04/getting-to-know-you-getting-to-know-all.html
Pikas on a Bike. I am training for a century ride the weekend of August 15th to raise money for JDRF in hopes to find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). Working Out with Tek. Monday, April 8, 2013. Getting to know you, getting to know all about you. Today was a 5 mile "Getting to know you" ride on Gigi. This past weekend, when I took Mr. Bear in to the bike store. What do Pikas write about?: Camp NanoWrimo Day One
http://pikawriting.blogspot.com/2015/07/camp-nanowrimo-day-one.html
What do Pikas write about? These are stories and things that I need to write about. Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Camp NanoWrimo Day One. I wanted to write a series of short stories for Camp NanoWrimo during July, so I started just doing a bit of a brain dump to get writing. I got 1500 words in when I realized I set a 1,000 word goal, not the 1600 goal of November. I guess that means I can slack a little on a day that feels a bit stressed. Thoughts on a New York State of Mind. There was the scattered set of t...

Working out with Tek: January 2013
http://pikagirl.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Working out with Tek. Wednesday, January 09, 2013. Ain't no stopping me. Watching me type is amusing right now as my right ring finger is splinted and my right middle finger is buddy taped to my index finger. I wasn't paying attention the other day and tripped over the step going into the garage and dislocated my ring finger. The first question I asked: "Can I still spin? He told me not an issue except for be careful how I grip the handlebars and such. Wednesday, January 02, 2013. While he did leave the ...

Working out with Tek: Let my imagination run away
http://pikagirl.blogspot.com/2013/12/let-my-imagination-run-away.html
Working out with Tek. Sunday, December 08, 2013. Let my imagination run away. I always let my imagination run away from and when it. Comes back, it comes back with cake! Last July or August, one of those times when it was wicked hot out there, I signed up for a 5k race in December. It seemed like a good idea at the time. A chilly December race with lots of time to get ready would be easy as . [pie, Sunday morning, whatever metaphor you would use]. I don't do zombies. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Working out with Tek. Wednesday, November 07, 2012. Me on the right rocking my blue Hyannis. Marathon fleece at Monday's workout. Today marks one full cycle of workouts with November Project. Friday I got one hill in, Monday was a Destination Deck and today was 6 flights at Harvard Stadium in the early morning darkness. Working out with Tek: Fun.
http://pikagirl.blogspot.com/2013/08/fun.html
Working out with Tek. Friday, August 23, 2013. This morning was a hill work out. The hill we run is described at the November Project this way: "Gradient of the incline varies from approximately 7-8% during the first third of the hill and goes up to 16-17% in the last quarter of the piece.". Today there were some chalk drawings on the sidewalk from local kids of kites and unicorns and cakes and things. It made me smile as I headed down. As I was running down the hill, I listened to Nike tell me my averag...
