Rae's Poetic Ramblings: Quick post
http://raetrigg.blogspot.com/2013/11/quick-post.html
The verbal and photographic wanderings of an incurable romantic. I have a regular commitment on Thursdays right now, which leaves me with not enough time to put together a proper post for tonight. So I will leave you with a shot from off the bridge between Chincoteague and Assateague. Spread out before one. To soothe the spirit. And calm one's soul. I may not have the chance to post tomorrow; if not, posting will resume on Monday. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Alexandria, VA, United States.

Rae's Poetic Ramblings: Halloween pumpkin
http://raetrigg.blogspot.com/2013/10/halloween-pumpkin.html
The verbal and photographic wanderings of an incurable romantic. Like we usually do, we stopped at a local church that sells pumpkins every year from a Navajo reservation in New Mexico. This year, their pumpkins were a bit on the large side and I decided to get an oblong one rather than a round one. I also picked out a design as I like to do something different every year. This was the design I chose, printed out with the appropriate bits cut away. I found the design here: ThinkGeek pumpkin templates.

http://raetrigg.blogspot.com/2013/10/october-wining-on-way-home.html
The verbal and photographic wanderings of an incurable romantic. October wining: on the way home. So, this past Sunday, as we headed home from the winery, as we got closer to home, we got onto 495. As we came off the exit, I happened to look up . I did a double-take, pointed, and said " What. Understand, I work for an association that specializes in aerospace medicine, so I wasn't sure what to think of what I was looking at. For a second, I wondered if I was looking at one version of a car-plane. All pho...

Welcome back, me. | How Broken Can We Get?
https://metadnauseam.wordpress.com/2009/11/04/welcome-back-me
How Broken Can We Get? It’s time to think deeper. Welcome back, me. Sure, this was an “academic paper” he wrote decades earlier, but tell me this, who in their right fucking mind would EVER make a statement that contraceptives should be banned for married couples? What The. Fuck. Just bring on the babies, am I right? Anyone who even fathoms such a thought as reasonable, intellectual, practical, OR ideal crosses the threshold from religious right to apeshit nutbag. I mean. it just makes me crazy. On Suppo...

Boundless Stores of Grace: East Oakland Quote of the Day
http://boundlessgrace.blogspot.com/2010/06/east-oakland-quote-of-day.html
Boundless Stores of Grace. Friday, June 25, 2010. East Oakland Quote of the Day. Some of my colleagues post their EOQDs: those horrifying things out of the mouths of babes that we have to laugh at before we cry instead. But for everyone one of those comments, there are at least ten that remind me that these kids are regular kids, though I suspect them of having bigger than average hearts. Here are some overdue quotes from their Mother's Day cards:. You are a great mom because you always buy me stuff I ...

Rae's Poetic Ramblings: Friday dinner
http://raetrigg.blogspot.com/2013/10/friday-dinner.html
The verbal and photographic wanderings of an incurable romantic. I served the sauce over egg noodles, also bought at the local farmer's market. We had the sauce over the pasta with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese and a glass each of red wine. In this case, the wine was the Cabernet Franc from the Village Winery that we bought this past weekend. Now Im hungry again :-). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Rae's Poetic Ramblings: Weekend trip, part II
http://raetrigg.blogspot.com/2013/11/weekend-trip-part-ii.html
The verbal and photographic wanderings of an incurable romantic. Weekend trip, part II. Friday we drove over to Assateague Island. We had originally intended to rent bikes, but it was just far too cold. So we drove over and took a walk on the Wildlife Loop. The first bird is a Snowy Egret and the second is a Great Blue Heron. They seemed to be a pretty common sight on the island and attracted a lot of photographers, at least on the access road. Out on the water! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Welcom...
