The Crafting Shell: January 2014
http://thecraftingshell.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 26, 2014. Last Thursday, I celebrated my 30th birthday, and 30 years with my most beloved object, my baby blanket. This quilt has been loved, and it shows! I’m slightly embarrassed to share these photos and to admit that I still sleep with my baby blanket (but, I know for a fact that I am not the only adult on this planet that still does this). Thursday, January 16, 2014. Our somewhat more organized entryway. I purchased the shelf during Hammerpress. 8217; studio sale. It was already ...

The Lazy Quilter: January 2014
http://lazyquilts.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Friday, 31 January 2014. So you remember I was whipping up a. Machine cover & mat. For my sewing room? Yeah that was a few months ago. I had the cover all done and the binding sewn on the front, but I needed to sort out ties and I was avoiding the fabric shop so that delayed my plan. I was trying to resist temptation, and so was just physically keeping my distant from the place with the fabric. Have you seen my fabric addiction! This was a justified strategy. Christmas themed items took priority). I don'...

The Lazy Quilter: October 2013
http://lazyquilts.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 29 October 2013. I've been shopping again. I've been a very bad girl. But I can't help it! There's so much fabric that I want! I feel bad, but it's impossible to resist. Especially when it's on sale - I can't be held responsible when it's on sale. So Do you want to see what I got? D I'll give you an update since my last stash post. I had to buy some more Comma because I'm making a quilt and NEEDED the extra. I promise! I couldn't make the quilt without it. So I got some coordinating solids.

FilleFutile: ACorny Quilt, off season.
http://fille-futile.blogspot.com/2014/07/acorny-quilt-off-season.html
ACorny Quilt, off season. I began thinking about this design about a year ago. I wanted something simple, straight to the point. I didn't feel like piecing the acorns, so I decided to make them in appliqué. I "glued" them on the top and quilted them directly. (lazy? I made a lot of tests to find the right proportions for the acorns. I even asked my friends which one they prefered. (they don't even bat a lash anymore). 110 cm x 140 cm. (44"x55"). Backing is brown and binding is evergreen.

FilleFutile: Marsala, 2015 Pantone Quilt Challenge : Invasion.
http://fille-futile.blogspot.com/2015/04/marsala-2015-pantone-quilt-challenge.html
Marsala, 2015 Pantone Quilt Challenge : Invasion. It all started on Play Crafts' blog. A long time ago (okay, two months). A challenge. A REAL challenge. A color nobody likes. Some joke by Pantone (something along "let's see if people are sheeps and suddenly love a color because we said so"). A double challenge : make a quilt in a strange color nobody has in their stash and nobody's selling. Believe it or not, I had some of it in my small stash. Some remnants from another life. On my drawing, the stripes...

Making pretty things and talking about it. Barn door quilt along. Tag Archives: Finished Quilts. November 7, 2014. A few weeks ago I made some little stuffed toys for the baby’s room… and then somehow a quilt sprung out of the same fabrics. Spontaneous combustion? It was more of a challenge than I initially expected! But it was definitely challenging and a little backbreaking. I quickly decided to reduce the overall size of the quilt and add a border! That cut the number of blocks I needed from 20 to 9.
