The Original Port Elgin and North Shore Railroad. With the way clear and main rods removed, Number 1 rolled easily towards the trailer. Number 1 is loaded and ready for the ride back to Carlisle, Ontario. The thing on the right side of the trailer is tender. You can still recognize it at the back. Number 1 is rolled off the trailer into my dad’s shop. Front view of Number 1 as she entered the shop. Back in the woods piled amoung the 4 coaches and gravel car was the snow plough.

Crossing the first bridge. This photograph was taken in the summer in almost the same place as the post card above. The only switch on the PENSRR was for the siding into the engine house. Later photos shows the oil burner system was replaced with propane. This picture was taken the same day. Note the propane tanks and overturned ballast car.
