PotomacAG: Engaging Culture 2

http://potomacag.blogspot.com/2008/03/engaging-culture-2.html

Monday, March 24, 2008. As stated in the first “Engaging Culture” blog, it is imperative that we have a well-defined idea of culture so that our models of engagement are effective and not counter-productive. Popular definition of “culture” ranges from fad to philosophy. We need clarity. Why is it important to understand this deeper level of culture? A pastor wears a suit and tie – in a past cultural milieu this might be a sign of competence and professionalism. As the culture shifts, this may b...In some...

Wednesday, March 12, 2008. As the creative team has been making preparations for District Council in May, we thought it would be great to hear feedback from our ministers about the themes that are shaping our plans. Our overall 2008 theme is 'Pursuing His Priorities' - and the sub-themes that have developed help focus in on exactly what the pursuit might look like. Embracing a Missional Vision. Between now and Council (May 5 - mark your calendar! Brenda Burns, Communications Facilitator.

PotomacAG: Energizing the Church

http://potomacag.blogspot.com/2008/03/energizing-church.html

Thursday, March 20, 2008. Simply put, we have returned to the uncluttered and basic. Are our current methods really equipping people to nurture a vibrant, life long relationship with God? These are tough questions. But energizing the church takes courageous leadership. Dr Timothy A Hager. Manassas Assembly of God. 11500 New Life Way. What about boldly proclaiming and practicing the baptism in the Holy Spirit? April 16, 2008 at 11:41 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Embracing a Missional Vision.

Wednesday, February 13, 2008. God has a unique way of connecting people in times of crisis. Crisis will cause you to call someone you have not talked to in years or call someone you never thought you would have to call. Crisis reveals to us what is really at our core. Saturday, September 27, 2008. We finished our series on Friendship Hills Thursday night with the hill of loyalty. On the hill of loyalty we talked about the story of Jonathan and David in 1 Samuel 18-20. Jonathan was a loyal friend to the end! I also made reference to the fact no one will always be loyal except for Christ. "There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother! Can you guess who these famous friends are?
