Research and Being an Ally →. November 23, 2015 · 8:00 am. Writing Fatigue and Imposter Syndrome. This month is Academic Writing Month. And I started it with a lot of energy, firing off an abstract, writing a conference paper and soldiering on with a chapter. But as November draws to a close and the nights get longer, this constant attempt to produce pages has left me feeling drained. Structures seem tortured and I feel like my vocabulary diminishes every time I write a new draft. Lots of people I know!
