West Cornwall Events is one of my pet projects which launched in 2010 as a fixed width static HTML site. The latest version of the application has been built using Ruby on Rails to allow the creation of a bespoke backend. The site was born after a failed online search for a local cactus show (I know, Rock and Roll) in my home town of Penzance. I found at the time that local events sites catered more towards entertainment venues rather than smaller community events. View the project on GitHub.
