A Day in the Life. Thursday, August 27, 2009. First Day of School. Well, I have been horrible about getting the blog updated with summer pictures, so I'll just start with the First Day of School pictures and get to the vacation pictures as I can. Here's my 2nd grader and my PreK'er on their first day of school. Sunday, August 2, 2009. Another trip to the zoo - this time as a family (with daddy). I think the pictures pretty much speak for themelves - it was a much warmer day this time. We love the tram.

Cardinals and Tigers and Cougars, Oh My! Thoughts of a girl who is forever a sports fan. Tuesday, September 16, 2008. A very special birthday. I helped Marta celebrate her 17th birthday last night with Johanna and Megan. We went to the Chocolate Bar in Lafayette Square and had WAY TOO MUCH FUN! We laughed so much (at one point I thought I burst something inside myself), ate a lot, and just generally had a blast! I am SURE we were a mystery to the other people in that evening, but oh well!

Sunday, January 31, 2010. By the time December came to an end we had a 14 month old on our hands! Let me share a little about our big girl. She continues to be silly! On this day she managed to wiggle partially out of her shirt. What in the world? Madelyn finds the funniest places to hang out! Playing in our closet is a daily activity. Monday, April 20, 2009. April has been a time of change around here! Outside the sunny days are getting longer (much welcomed after a gloomy Louisville winter! And the temperature is creeping up. Tuesday, November 17, 2009. Good news, bad news. We are no longer sharing the computer desk! Steven works from home and for the past 7.5 months (who's counting? He has had his work computer set up on the same desk as our home computer. That presents a problem: If he's at the desk working, I'm not. Thursday, August 27, 2009. At the end of July Madelyn turned 9 months old! That's how long she was in my tummy! Nine months with a baby seems longer than nine months of carrying a baby! We went to the doctor for a well-visit. Madelyn weighed just over 20 pounds (75%) and was 28.5 inches long (80%.) Her check up went well; she's growing and developing just as she should be! I will say this, the color USED to be a poorly painted on light cream/ white ish. my parents and i painted (everything but the bathroom) this beautiful, quality paint color called "dust bunny" and it looks AMAZING now!
