April 30, 2011 · 12:02 am. Dare we ask…why? In life there are questions and there are answers (there are also cliches). The same concept applies to literacy. There is a constant search for cause and effect with literacy as we attempt to find a cure of sorts. Is there a direct line to be drawn between the lasting struggle of illiteracy and any one situation? We know that things like poverty, education and parental support play a role, but how much of a role do they really play? Tagged as Adult Literacy.
