The other day I was walking around in one of the buildings on campus that is used whenever construction is being done somewhere. The whole building, in its way, reminds me of the Room of Requirement in the Harry Potter books. Whenever someone needs space, there it is. There is also silence, silence broken only by the sound of my footfalls on the floor, which is a checkerboard of aged linoleum tile and bare concrete.
