Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition (2015, PS4) - White-haired Hoodlums Ride Again. For a Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition screen shot gallery. If you're just interested in what's new, skip down a few paragraphs to the Special Edition section. Dante uses his least effective weapon to make love, not war. Nero stares down a crab-ghost. A giant, rude frog with naked jello lady angler lures. Surprisingly, not the character who gets a musical scene. You said it, Trish. Game and movie re...

Wobble Reviews - Bob Surlaw's Words of Mouth: Kirby's Dream Land (Game Boy, 1992) - A Star is Born
http://bobsurlaw.blogspot.com/2012/03/review-kirbys-dream-land.html
Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Kirby's Dream Land (Game Boy, 1992) - A Star is Born. HAL Laboratories' 1992 Game Boy classic Kirby's Dream Land introduced a puffy new superstar to the Nintendo family who would shine for decades across genres and styles. From platforming to mini-golf to Breakout to ball-rolling to goofing off as a pile of yarn, Kirby's always been a pretty experimental series, but let's take a look back at the original title that started it all. The question is: Does it matter? Brief Words of Mo...

Wobble Reviews - Bob Surlaw's Words of Mouth: Fantastic Four (2015) - The Chronicles of a Troubled Team
http://bobsurlaw.blogspot.com/2015/08/fantastic-four-2015-chronicles-of.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. Fantastic Four (2015) - The Chronicles of a Troubled Team. A phenomenally good found-footage "super hero" film that's part Carrie, part Akira. Reed and Johnny share a moment. There was a lot of behind-the-scenes drama on this film: Trank and Fox did not share a creative vision. They should be focusing on the film suddenly shifting into empty gray rooms without any kind of interesting blocking). The Thing fights tanks: Not in the final film. Not in the film. I really though Batman...

Wobble Reviews - Bob Surlaw's Words of Mouth: Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (2014, PS4) - The Beginning of the End
http://bobsurlaw.blogspot.com/2015/08/metal-gear-solid-v-ground-zeroes-2014.html
Friday, August 7, 2015. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (2014, PS4) - The Beginning of the End. On the first of September, the almost 30 year long Metal Gear saga will see what may be its final chapter. Tension between the series' writer/director Hideo Kojima and publisher Konami. Has been a topic of interest for the last few months, and all signs point to Kojima leaving once the game hits shelves. Development of what would have been his next game, Silent Hills, has been shut down. All of the drama and...

One of Gordon's Blue Rose Cases. You sadly cannot ride the GHOST TRAIN. To see just how extensively the game was changed, take a look at this twenty-three page change log. Wobble Reviews - Bob Surlaw's Words of Mouth: Donkey Konga (2004, GameCube) - Donkey Ain't Funky
http://bobsurlaw.blogspot.com/2015/07/donkey-konga-gamecube-donkey-aint-funky.html
Thursday, July 9, 2015. Donkey Konga (2004, GameCube) - Donkey Ain't Funky. You can also use these for other games, if you need gigantic A and B buttons. I appreciate their experimentation, and I like drumming; the drum's my favorite instrument in the Rock Band games and I'm a big fan of Namco's Taiko Drum Master. Unfortunately, Donkey Konga's a pretty bad game. Donkey Konga would get two sequels, with the third game never getting released outside of Japan. I never played the second one, and was pret...

Wobble Reviews - Bob Surlaw's Words of Mouth: Status Update
http://bobsurlaw.blogspot.com/2015/06/status-update.html
Thursday, June 4, 2015. Hello my wobbly friends. I've been away for a while due to a family emergency that's taken all of my attention for the last couple of months. I'm planning on writing about it at some point, but need more time to heal first. To try to focus my mind on positive things, I'm going to spend more time writing, as well as finishing up the C. Kane update for the Kickstarter backers. I'm sorry to have pushed so many projects back, but family comes first. Thanks for your continued support.
