Stay at home with the cats. or act on stage. My lifelong dilemma. Sunday, February 26, 2006. Dum Dum Dum Dumdum Dum DUM! Title to be sung to the opening riff of 'Smoke on the Water'*. Yesterday was the much-awaiting event (for a few people anyway! Of the gig at Labyrinth of the band 'The Plenaries', formerly known as '70's band 'Smog' - they re-named themselves to be more environmentally friendly! The Pea and I had been invited. But we really needn't have worried! And, by the way, yesterday's gig was als...

Warning - there are plot spoilers re: 'The Chronoicles of Narnia' in this post so watch out! Before they start, I'll write * SPOILERS* so you'll know to avert your eyes if you haven't watched it! James McAvoy as Mr Tumnus is really very good - you kind of want to adopt him and take him home. Although he has a tiny role, Jim Broadbent is excellent. But then, he always is. When Lucy first ...

Stay at home with the cats. or act on stage. My lifelong dilemma. Sunday, April 30, 2006. Yesterday, the hubby and I went to watch 'Two' at St James Cavalier. What a great performance from the Pea and Edward Mercieca! Years ago I had played one of the characters, Maudie, at St James during a performance which stemmed from a workshop by Masquerade - what a hoot it was! I muttered all the lines under my breath as the Pea said them (completely silently of course! And 'I'll talk to you later' and bla bla bla.

Stay at home with the cats. or act on stage. My lifelong dilemma. Friday, August 18, 2006. I've decided to change my blog name and ' about me' to something a bit more interesting:. I turned into this person who actually enjoys curtain and bedspread shopping. God help me! Anyway, I love my house and take a lot of pride in making it look nice. On the other hand, I love acting and singing and being on stage so very much. So, do I stay home and bask in the glow of domesticity? Tuesday, August 15, 2006. Now k...

Thursday, April 2, 2009. Now THIS is customer service! I ordered a custom made headband and bow for my baby granddaughter from an Etsy.com shop called VerySweetBows. This was requested by my very picky daughter-in-law, so that was a compliment to the items there in the first place. But NO, letting me wait was not in the plans of Fagan of VerySweetBows. Here is a part of what she wrote back to me:. My appologies for your inconvenience and I hope that you enjoy your bow when it arrives. Bunches of 4" lengt...
