Help Fund My Trip to the Conj. LOOK FOR A FOLLOW-UP BLOG POST SOON WITH A LIST OF -DONORS! Hello there boys and girls of all ages, shapes, and sizes. It’s your old friend Anthony Grimes (Raynes) here with an appeal. You see, I didn’t plan on going to the Clojure Conj. Conference this year. A sad decision it was, I knew I wouldn’t be able to pay for a ticket as well as airfare and a room, since I currently only work part time as an intern with Geni. Everybody give her a round of applause! In summary, I on...

Easy JSON parsing in Haskell with Aeson - Bathroom Reading Material
http://blog.raynes.me/blog/2012/11/27/easy-json-parsing-in-haskell-with-aeson
Easy JSON Parsing in Haskell With Aeson. Yeah, I’ve been using Haskell. Wanna fight about it? Clojure isn’t everything, you know? Just most of everything. Something you may not know is that Haskell was actually my first language, but until recently I had not used it for around 4 years! Haskell was the first language that ever made sense to me, but I hopped to Clojure pretty quickly after that and there were a lot of awesome things I missed. In particular, I never really. Usually, you’re going to wa...

Om interop with 3rd party JS libs · Robert Stuttaford, Clojure Enthusiast

Middot; Clojure Codex. Middot; I'm on Twitter. Om interop with 3rd party JS libs. A couple days ago, I cheekily tweeted a piece of code for embedding the fantastic Ace. Javascript editor in an Om app. I say cheekily, because I wrote the code in the RefHeap. Editor and didn't actually test it! The essence of how to use icky mutable JS components like Ace editor with #Om. Well, with any #ReactJS. Really:

Moving Away From Noir. UPDATE: See the end of this post for a quote from Noir’s original author, Chris Granger. Also, here are the commits where I moved to Compojure in refheap: https:/ github.com/Raynes/refheap/compare/b943338cc23ff63559fa6190e74f0f39f85badb0…6ab25a24e7e669c7d6482c111bc4a44d5de1997a. This might be a bit of a sad post for some people, but most will find that it was simply long overdue and necessary. This post is a formal announcement of Noir. Being more or less deprecated. I Code With Things and Stuff - Bathroom Reading Material
http://blog.raynes.me/blog/2012/02/01/i-code-with-things-and-stuff
I Code With Things and Stuff. A lot of radical changes in my development environment resulted in someone asking me if I’d write a blog post about it. I was already considering doing that, and the interest of at least one person is motivation enough to actually do it. I used Emacs for around two years. It started back in my Haskell days. You know how Lispers love Emacs because it has SLIME? When I started using Clojure, I was lucky enough to already have some Emacs under my belt and so I continued using it.
