http://pedacus.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 08, 2011. The Rainy Pacific Northwest. It has a Bavarian theme and is very touristy. however the Wenatchee National Forest borders the town and that is where we actually did get to do some climbing. We climbed a route called Outer Space, and it's one of the best routes i've climbed anywhere, ever. So we did end up getting to do a little climbing after all. Coming back liz couldn't fit everything into her bags so she carried on her sleeping bag. we tucked ourselves in for a little nap. We als...

Friday, July 30, 2010. This is why I love living in Salt Lake:. Tuesday, July 06, 2010. Happy 4th of July! We climbed 2 different routes in the cirque, both which topped out at different places. you could see the entire salt lake valley below, which is both neat and un-cool at the same time. for all that uphill (and downhill! Effort it'd be nice to not see any sign of civilization. but it was interesting to see the whole valley where we live that way too. Happy to be back in the tent. On top of the world!

A Desert Rose: My Birthday Adventure
http://pedacus.blogspot.com/2011/05/my-birthday-adventure.html
Tuesday, May 17, 2011. By the time we made it down to the parking lot the sun was just about shining again, and our friend Mark (who was also rained off a different climb) was grilling sausages in the parking lot. He grilled me a happy birthday sausage, which warmed me right back up. It turned out to be a perfect day! Warm and happy.before the storm! Ahhh the desperate rappel as the lightening was striking. This pic doesn't do justice to how completely soaked we were. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

A Desert Rose: June 2011
http://pedacus.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 19, 2011. I just returned from a 3 day, 2 night white water rafting trip with my family around the Buena Vista, Colorado Arkansas River. It was an amazing trip. While the exact canyons we were hoping to float were closed due to unseasonably high water due to snow-melt, we floated other sections of the ARkansas River which proved to be as much excitement as we needed! A fresh spring bubbling up next to the river. Relaxing during a rare moment of still (ish) water. Modeling our lovely wet suits.

Tuesday, March 09, 2010. I finally had my MRI and the news is NOT good: here are the radiologists exact words:. 1 Bucket handle tear of labrum, new finding since comparison of 1/09. 2 Persistent anterior-superior labral irregularity. Difficult to assess in location given prior surgical intervention. Irregularity may be entirely postoperative. 4 Prior femoral osteoplasty, proximal femoral osteotomy and acetabuloplasty. Will i have pain for the next ever? Will i ever stop limping? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

A Desert Rose: Bike. Climb. Bike
http://pedacus.blogspot.com/2011/06/bike-climb-bike.html
Sunday, June 05, 2011. Bike Climb. Bike. Eric and I have, for over one year, wanted to participate in a 'Human-Powered Climbing Day" where we ride our bikes up into one of the cottonwood canyons and climb a route. Today was the day! We biked from our house to Big Cottonwood to the base of a 400 foot climb called Outside Corner and back home again! What would the day be without at least 1 flat tire?
