Wannabe Texans archive: Alcohol is a Cheap Perfume
http://wannabetexans.blogspot.com/2007/12/alcohol-is-cheap-perfume.html
Saturday, December 15, 2007. Alcohol is a Cheap Perfume. Album available again for download: http:/ www.badongo.com/file/5606899. The hinges broke on our old titanium powerbook, so I don't like to move it. but hopefully, over the holiday break, I will take it down to the basement and record a few more songs off the old cassette tapes. Thank you for making this available. I've listened to Wannabe Texans in 1991, from "Devouring Our Roots" comp, but didn't had the chance to listen to Alchool LP.

Wannabe Texans archive: December 2006
http://wannabetexans.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 26, 2006. A couple of songs. These aren't exactly high fidelity, but they sound great to me. ' Maybe Wyoming. Where can you hear singing like that? Patience is a Virtue. Is a waltz, on the poignant side. I think the band here is: Mary O'Neil, Matt Sullivan, Matt Royston, Wally Sound, and Steven Strauss. On accordion, film reviewer Richard von Busack. Sunday, February 24, 2008. In 1989, Mary went to England to visit our friend Victoria. While she was there, Robert Worby. Taped a few songs with Mary singing and playing a very out-of-tune autoharp. Here's Swimming in the Trees. Not real listenable but there you go. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Wednesday, March 14, 2007. I don't think anyone's reading this, but I'm going to keep putting stuff up here anyway. This is a later picture of the band. I can tell, because the face turned away from the camera is Rick Vena's; he played drums towards the end. The rest, clockwise, are Matt S., Matt R., Mary, Wally, and myself. Wannabe Texans archive: June 2007
http://wannabetexans.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 3, 2007. Last show, 11-16-91. The last Wannabe Texans show was at the Paradise Lounge. We played the first set with no drummer, and for the second set, Tim Vaughan aka 'the Professor'. Was Greg's favorite Wannabe Texans song. This seems to be the only recording ever made of it. Is another song that I can't find any other recordings of. Was played often, but seldom recorded. Penelope Houston did a cover of it. Is a Weenie Roast song that we did. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Last show, 11-16-91.
