Once again we loved the short drive north, yet the feeling that we were worlds away. Our house overlooked the ocean and every morning we would see hundreds of Dolphins playing in the water. Wednesday, November 19, 2008. If you ask Kate and Emma what they miss the most about our old house - they will quickly say the Neighbor Kids. The girls loved having Presley and Nixon (and now McCartney too) living next door. I would often hear Kate talking to them through the fence in the back yard or yelling Hi out her bedroom window. Back in the Loop. 160;I wanted to go back and post on our trip to Maui for Thanksgiving, but then most of you read about it in our Christmas letter (there are some photos on my Facebook page). Thursday, March 17, 2011. Brian and I have always been fans of Las Vegas but randomly we ended up there 3 times in two weeks. First, our President Day Weekend vacation we had planned at a Carlsbad resort got canceled the day before we were to arrive due to overbooking. Bags already packed and kids hopes high we left Disneyland without a hotel room booked and drove to Vegas (booking along the way). I had the most amazing LUCK this trip, not the usual for my trips to Vegas:). A kids dream: The Sugar Factory.
