World Wide Murman: Believe -Part 2- Sister Surprise
http://choppermurman.blogspot.com/2011/09/believe-part-2-sister-surprise.html
Tuesday, September 06, 2011. Believe -Part 2- Sister Surprise. It was after midnight when our wheels touched down on the cold dark tarmac of Moncton Airport. Our flight had been delayed slightly and I was worried that perhaps the folks at Avis might have called it a night, stranding me and my excited mother, in Moncton for the night. But it was not to be, a friendly Maritime smile was waiting at the rent-a-car desk and we were quickly on our way to Saint John. The door only opens 2 inches and comes to a ...

World Wide Murman: July 2012

Sunday, July 08, 2012. A Little Boy Once More. Set the "Way Back" machine to the 1960's. At that time there were many TV programs that a young fellow like me loved because they took you away to a world so alien, so fantastic that they became the stuff of dreams. Flipper. Are just two examples that I enjoyed weekly. I would spend hours pretending to "skin dive" with Flipper or search an undersea wreck with the Bridges brothers. Always looking for that great adventure beneath the sea. Years went by but I n...

Writer on the storm: the Canada chronicles. The road less traveled. Friday, February 19, 2010. Chapter 65: who are we? The last week of unbridled patriotism has really left me wondering: who are we? We can have our hearts broken. We can proudly wear the maple leaf and not apologize. but everyone's invited all the same. We aren't just happy to be here. We expect the best of ourselves, and respect from others. We aren't as quiet and unassuming as the world thought we were. We are not american. Me, me, me!

World Wide Murman: Below VFR
http://choppermurman.blogspot.com/2012/11/below-vfr.html
Friday, November 02, 2012. Reassignments, maintenance and weather. These are few of my least favorite things, , , when it comes to spending time aboard my magic flying machine, Chopper 9. In fact I have not logged a single flight hour since Aug. of this year. One might call it a drought or bad luck. I call it refocusing. The weeks leading up to this "drought" brought questions to whether I really wanted to continue with being a part of this program. Had I had enough of flying? Had it stopped being fun?

Friday, March 02, 2012. Me, my son, the GoPro and Whistler = Perfect Day. Please enjoy, and thanks for stopping by. Have you seen the quikpod - its so awesome - you can take pictures and be in them! I ended up using the ski pole because none of the dealers in Whistler had any helmut mounts left. So I had to improvise. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. World Wide Murman: AIR POWER
http://choppermurman.blogspot.com/2012/08/air-power.html
Sunday, August 19, 2012. Thankfully these things come to an end eventually and my last flight rotation marked that end. For a couple of days I thought the good old days of flight were back. The assignments were not anything to get too excited about, and a couple didn't make air, but they did put a smile on this old puss and reminded me just how fortunate I am when it is all said and done. Last week happened to be Air Show week at nearby Abbotsford. Some of you may remember a story about Mach Daddy. Stef ...
