Ron Davies Photography: In Camera...Lightning and the Queen Mary 2
http://rondaviesphoto.blogspot.com/2015/07/in-cameralightning-and-queen-mary-2.html
Wednesday, July 08, 2015. In Camera.Lightning and the Queen Mary 2. Waiting for the Queen Mary 2, lightning flashes over Wales. Last Friday evening the Queen Mary 2 was due to sail past the Iron Men on Crosby beach around 22.45 and I went down in the hope that I might capture an image even though it was cloudy and quite a dark night compared to earlier in the week. Whilst waiting for the Queen Mary 2 to approach the first flashes of lightning lit up the sky over the distant hills of Wales. The flash of l...

Ron Davies Photography: In Camera...A Curtain of Golden Light
http://rondaviesphoto.blogspot.com/2014/10/in-cameraa-curtain-of-golden-light_27.html
Monday, October 27, 2014. In Camera.A Curtain of Golden Light. Yesterday afternoon at Crosby beach was not a promising day for good photography as grey clouds scudded across the sky driven by a strong west wind, always with the threat of rain. Late afternoon a patch of brightness grew in the clouds over Wales, a crack in the sky through which golden rays of crepuscular light poured through, forming this stunning backdrop to the Iron Men of Another Place. Ron Davies Photography: In Camera...Magical Hot Summer Night at Crosby Beach
http://rondaviesphoto.blogspot.com/2015/07/in-cameramagical-hot-summer-night-at.html
Tuesday, July 07, 2015. In Camera.Magical Hot Summer Night at Crosby Beach. I love the contrast between the hot red sky and the cool blue of the water. I walked along the rapidly advancing water's edge, taking photographs as they appear, the glowing sky to the north does not seem to fade, it is a long lingering twilight. These two people just walked past me in the late evening light, I turned the camera from the sea to capture their silhouettes against the glowing twilight. View my complete profile.

Ron Davies Photography: In Camera...Rough Seas at Crosby Beach
http://rondaviesphoto.blogspot.com/2014/12/in-camerarough-seas-at-crosby-beach.html
Thursday, December 11, 2014. In Camera.Rough Seas at Crosby Beach. Outward bound into the storm. Wednesday 10th December was the day when the so called "stormbomb" created strong winds over the United Kingdom. Here at Crosby we had gusts up to 56mph and, combined with the high tide just after 13.00, there were some rough seas down at Crosby beach. I am always amazed at how the iron men sculptures withstand the pounding they get at times like this when the waves smack into them. View my complete profile.
