Even if they have nothing better to say and the only reason they are even saying something is because the boss is there. Here’s a suggestion. Learn to listen. You may not notice it, but if you keep saying it, what you lose is respect. You know things like, “I am disorganized”, “We don’t have budgets like the big brands”, “We have never established a process for this.”.
