The True Story of What Was. At least from where I'm standing. Izzie is a 60lb Black English Labrador. She was born in the Spring of 2007. She has quite a few boyfriends, Max, Harley and Jaws, just to name a few. She was returned to her dog-mom because of some tooth abnormalities and eventually ended up as a member of our home when she was about a year old. While we waited a long time to get her, we can’t imagine life without her. June 27, 2009 at 8:16 pm. I love Izzie. She’s my best pal. Miss M. (302).

Books and Dogs: The dogs of Istanbul: 'these mad, lost creatures'?
http://michielheyns.blogspot.com/2013/06/the-dogs-of-istanbul-these-mad-lost.html
This is a blog inspired by the acquisition of a new puppy (Simon, a Dobermann, born 15/11/2010). However, since even I don't really believe the emotional life of a puppy can sustain a blog indefinitely, I'm combining such reflections as Simon's progress gives rise to with my other indulgence, books. So this will be about books and dogs, in particular books about dogs, and dogs in books. There'll also be plenty of photos of Simon. Saturday, June 29, 2013.
