A life of mild pain? – Running for Performance

Only the mind is the limitation of what you are able to achieve. A life of mild pain? My pain in the achilles just won’t go away. Since beginning of summer I’ve had 3-5 different types of shoes which I alternate, but it shows no difference. I’ve also tried to use the same pair of shoes for a couple of weeks, but that doesn’t change anything neither. The HR didn’t kick in in the beginning. Might need new battery. 26 Jan 2012 – easy run. In December I had a lot of colds and bad weather for many weeks, so my running bled. The average must have been around 30 km per week. Me and the Road. It s about running, it s about life… it s about everything. I finally ran the 4k time-trial and achieved a 16:58 time. I was supposed to run last weekend but my cold made me postpone it one week. And because of that, it was a run under not the best conditions. Although I started at 21:30, it was 30C and very low humidity levels. Besides that, the park was crowded yet. I ran the usual course and here s the splits. Me and the Road. It s about running, it s about life… it s about everything. Let s try again. Training has been very inconsistent these days. I traveled the weekend before (Aug 20 21st) and was able to run again last Tue. On Wed had to work late and Thu I woke up with an ingrown toenail that wouldn t let me walk normally. Had it taken care but had to stay put for the rest of the week. Now, I intend to start a new cycle this week and with some luck, everything will be fine from now on. August 29, 2011.

Ik had mij voorgenomen om een generale repetitie te houden voor mijn eerste 1/16 triathlon a.s. zondag in Beesd. Nog niet zoveel aan de hand, snel onder de kraan en koelen maar. Al snel sloeg de schrik me om het hart: dit was wel een heel ongelukkige timing! Nog maar 6 dagen voor de triathlon, waar ik al een paar maanden zo naar uitkeek!
