Stamford Talk: Eat, Think, Drive, Blog!: Stamford Downtown Horse Tour 2012
http://stamfordtalk.blogspot.com/2012/07/stamford-downtown-horse-tour-2012.html
Stamford Talk: Eat, Think, Drive, Blog! Because life in CT is so boring if we don't. Friday, July 13, 2012. Stamford Downtown Horse Tour 2012. My friends and I spent two hours walking around the concrete and asphalt streets of Stamford yesterday. why? To see the horse statues, of course! A friend planned out a four-part tour for us, and yesterday we completed leg three. I blogged. About it more extensively at my more parenting-focused (but still locally-slanted) blog, FC Mom. If you want to take a peek!

Manager Mom: The Last Supper
http://managermom.blogspot.com/2008/07/last-supper.html
Wednesday, July 2, 2008. I've been having some funky health stuff going on lately, and my doctor says that I need to eliminate things that are causing unnecessary stress in my life. After examining all of my commitments, I have decided that although I love Spawn as if they were my own children*, I need to stop having family dinners with them. Immediately. Scene from a typical evening at our house:. Spawn (Upon entering): Whatsfordinner? Repeated for the next. Meal in front of them. Me: I have no good ans...

Manager Mom: To My No Longer A First Grader
http://managermom.blogspot.com/2008/06/to-my-no-longer-first-grader.html
Thursday, June 19, 2008. To My No Longer A First Grader. You've probably noticed that the stuff I write usually tends to include some cursing, a fair amount of sarcasm, and often the ejection of bodily fluids. (Be forewarned - this post does not, and furthermore, it's laden with sentimental cliches. If you're looking for the usual, read this one. When I got home late AGAIN the other night, The Boy shouted, “Thank you for stopping by, Mommy! She received her kiss and skittered off on her flamingo legs....

Stamford Talk: Eat, Think, Drive, Blog!: Cove Beach Marking: Driving Grown Men Insane
http://stamfordtalk.blogspot.com/2009/09/cove-beach-marking-driving-grown-men.html
Stamford Talk: Eat, Think, Drive, Blog! Because life in CT is so boring if we don't. Tuesday, September 29, 2009. Cove Beach Marking: Driving Grown Men Insane. A 43 year old rollerblader attacked. A man and his 4 year old son on a trike! Have YOU ever tried to decipher the markings of the track and path at Cove Beach? A short while later Karamon was approaching the family again and collided with the father who shielded his four- and two-year-old sons, Cooney said. My baby's shrieking, gotta run! They oug...

Stamford Talk: Eat, Think, Drive, Blog!: Beach Weather!
http://stamfordtalk.blogspot.com/2012/02/beach-weather.html
Stamford Talk: Eat, Think, Drive, Blog! Because life in CT is so boring if we don't. Saturday, February 18, 2012. Well, not really. But this warm weather has been a blessing. Yesterday we walked with friends at Tod's Point in Old Greenwich in the morning, and Cove Island in Stamford in the afternoon. Cove is superior for older kids because of the playground. My almost 3 year old often wants to walk, but for me to get any proper exercise, he's gotta be trapped in a stroller. I wanna get- OUT! Stamford on ...

Stamford Talk: Eat, Think, Drive, Blog!: Cove Beach: Free Rent
http://stamfordtalk.blogspot.com/2012/06/cove-beach.html
Stamford Talk: Eat, Think, Drive, Blog! Because life in CT is so boring if we don't. Sunday, June 3, 2012. Cove Beach: Free Rent. I am only slightly amused by the lifeguard's-view-blocking cabana some family has erected at Cove Island. Or maybe they live there? Looks about the same size as my college dorm room. I'm guessing this is NOT on the "stuff that's ok at Cove" list- essentially, putting up a small house on the beach to block everyone else's view. Ah well, anything goes at Cove. Read Posts by Topic.

Stamford Talk: Eat, Think, Drive, Blog!: Scalzi Park for Summer
http://stamfordtalk.blogspot.com/2012/06/scalzi-park-for-summer.html
Stamford Talk: Eat, Think, Drive, Blog! Because life in CT is so boring if we don't. Saturday, June 23, 2012. Scalzi Park for Summer. I love the new improvements at Scalzi: the walking path, the two new playgrounds, and the great splash pad pictured here. I only wish there was more seating at each of the two playgrounds. Each playground only has one bench that fits five adults. Definitely not enough! Still there's lots of shade between the two playgrounds for picnic blankets. I love Scalzi! Fairfield Cou...

Stamford Talk: Eat, Think, Drive, Blog!: Fairfield County Sucks for Young People. And?
http://stamfordtalk.blogspot.com/2008/06/fairfield-county-sucks-for-young-people.html
Stamford Talk: Eat, Think, Drive, Blog! Because life in CT is so boring if we don't. Sunday, June 22, 2008. Fairfield County Sucks for Young People. And? I just found a quality blog called Connecticut Local Politics. Politics hurt my head, but I found a post about “ Brain Drain”. I can relate to. CTLP author Genghis Conn writes about a post from Mayor Malloy’s blog. That referenced an Advocate. About how young people are leaving CT because of the high cost of living. I stay for a few reasons. Why canR...
