Rendam pulut bersama serbuk kunyit lebih kurang 1-2 jam atau sehingga pulut bertukar warna kuning. Cuci dan toskan pulut dan kukus hingga 1/2 masak. Setelah 1/2 masak keluarkan dari kukusan dan masukkan dlm bekas. Kemudian tuangkan santan yang dicampurkan secukup garam ke dalam pulut tadi dan gaul hingga rata.

Beat eggs and sugar well with a hand whisk. Put beaten eggs and pandan leaves in a saucepan over a very gentle heat to dissolve the sugar. When sugar has dissolved, remove the pan away from the heat and stir in thick coconut milk, mix well, then strain the mixture into a double boiler pot. When kaya is ready, discard the pandan leaves.
