Scanners!

Wherein we attempt to show that no image in a lifetime of photographic tomfoolery is useless as long as one has a couple of scanners for prints, film, and slides, and access to editing tools like Photoshop, Picnik, Picasa, ACDSee, and more. Over my lifetime I've collected thousands of these images. Enough to post one-a-day on this blog for the rest of my life. Enjoy.

Hare-Brained at Home (formerly Hare-Brained Express Tour): Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes..

http://shotonsite.blogspot.com/2012/03/ch-ch-ch-changes.html

Friday, March 30, 2012. As promised, (though not as expeditiously as previously implied.) a story about the completely new direction our lives are about to take. As our interest increased, Sam's seemed to wane. So much so, that she left town last Summer to return to Madison, but is now residing also in Florida. That did nothing to dampen our (Margaret's) resolve. Roping in a family member to be a "silent partner", we set the wheels in motion to become book store owners. The store features extensive title...

Hare-Brained at Home (formerly Hare-Brained Express Tour): Progress Reports. (2 in 1)

http://shotonsite.blogspot.com/2012/03/progress-reports-2-in-1.html

Saturday, March 17, 2012. Progress Reports. (2 in 1). A few weeks ago I wrote about the emergence of the poppies. And also about the beginnings of Sandia's thyroid supplement treatments. Here, in a single image, is evidence that not only are the poppies on an accelerated growth spurt, but also that the supplements are beginning to have, however slight, a noticeable effect on Sandia's appearance. Hare-Brained at Home (formerly Hare-Brained Express Tour): The Winners Winners Winners

http://shotonsite.blogspot.com/2012/02/winners-winners-winners.html

Monday, February 20, 2012. The Winners Winners Winners. L-R Mike McLaughlin, Dutch Salmon, Paul Domski, Tavo Cruz. 2010 was the first year in the history of Dutch Salmon's Pack Hunt that 3 packs caught jackrabbits, and ended up tied at the top. Our pack was included in that triumvirate. Now, just 2 years later, it's happened again. This means one of two things: Either the dogs are getting better. or the hares are getting worse. Dutch Salmon's "Phoxy", and the hare that got away. FEEDJIT Live Traffic Feed.

Hare-Brained at Home (formerly Hare-Brained Express Tour): Wildflower Season

http://shotonsite.blogspot.com/2010/04/wildflower-season.html

Monday, April 05, 2010. Wildflower season in the Desert Southwest is ramping up. On Easter Sunday, we took a long drive into the hills, first to do some Geocaching. Following our huge dinner and desert, we needed more exercise, and drove the Mitsubishi up the power line "road" to a point about 3/4 mile from the big blankets of poppies. Far from showing signs of fading away, new bunches of this beautiful flower are showing up every day. Our yard is overrun! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). If you find ...

Hare-Brained at Home (formerly Hare-Brained Express Tour): Sooner Than Expected..

http://shotonsite.blogspot.com/2012/02/sooner-than-expected.html

Saturday, February 25, 2012. Spring poppies in the yard. When we moved in in the Winter of 2009, we heard stories about the poppy blooms that would cover the foothills with blankets of gold. We were told we'd be lucky to see them once or twice in our lifetimes here. they were "7 year blooms". Well guess what. We had a spectacular poppy (and other wildflowers) season in 2010. And it looks like it's going to happen again this Spring after yet another fairly wet Winter. Labels: Around the yard. Christie Kei...

Hare-Brained at Home (formerly Hare-Brained Express Tour): Shamed!

http://shotonsite.blogspot.com/2012/02/shamed.html

Friday, February 17, 2012. I had pretty much given up on getting rich off this blog. I had thought maybe I could get beer money, between the Donate button and the Google Ads, but no such luck. But something changed today. I opened my emails and discovered that a donation of more than fifty cents had been made into the PayPal account! By someone I don't even know. And this, during a period when I've been posting at a rate of 4 times a year. Obviously, this is a call to do much better. Subscribe in a reader.

Hare-Brained at Home (formerly Hare-Brained Express Tour): Facebook Favorites Calendars!

http://shotonsite.blogspot.com/2011/12/facebook-favorites-calendars.html

Thursday, December 08, 2011. It's that time of year again! Each year, we take the 13 (or more) most liked images from our Shot On Site Facebook Page. And put them in a calendar, which we then sell in the hopes of turning a couple dollars of profit, and in turn, brighten up your offices, kitchens, kennels, or outhouses, or the homes of those to whom you gift them. This year, we're doing something a little different. Themed calendar, and a Not-Dog. Or me, ( dan@shotonsite.us. We're waiting for your emails.

http://shotonsite.blogspot.com/2011/09/choo-choo.html

Monday, September 19, 2011. We're taking a trip! We're taking a train. Later today, we'll drive up to Albuquerque, check into a downtown hotel, and tomorrow around lunch time we'll board the Amtrak to Chicago, and then to New York. Had I received my new ASUS. Notebook today, (instead of the scheduled delivery tomorrow), I'd resume blogging on this trip. I still might, but it's not likely, because it's too much of a PITA to "type" on the little tablet.
