Dispatches from Paisley: The Other Victors...
http://humbug3.blogspot.com/2015/06/the-other-victors.html
My take on news and politics from the front line of schemie culture. Just watch for the flying bottles of buckie on your way out! Tuesday, 16 June 2015. Other than viewers in Scotland, there was only one winner out of last months General Election. This much has been clear as Cameron unfurled the first full fat Tory Queen’s Speech since 1996 and the clock has felt as if it has wound right back to that period. Thankfully the revival in Dad-Rock has not appeared… yet. So far any chance to oppose has only co...

akatsuki talks rot: A dork replies
http://akatsukira.blogspot.com/2007/10/dork-replies.html
26313; talks rot. ignore her crappola.). I like Stephen Fry. I don't know him personally, but I enjoy his writing, his blethering, his somewhat awkward sense of style. Not being a stalker-fan, I wasn't aware that he was a gadget-freak until his recent outing. Like I said, not a stalker-fan. That said, I take great umbrage at one sentiment in his latest post about his adoration of all things dorky. I was in complete agreement with him apart from that. What exactly is wrong with pTerry's books? Or anti-soc...

Malc in the Burgh: February 2010
http://malcintheburgh.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, 25 February 2010. Blog Exclusive: Green Candidate. My sources have pointed me in the direction of a scoop. The Scottish blogosphere's very own James MacKenzie, of Two Doctors. Fame, has been selected by the Scottish Green Party to contest the constituency of East Lothian at the upcoming Westminster election. Unlike the news article above, I'm going to try and report this news without any mistakes (one Green MSP? And they have James down as 37 - he's not a day over 25! 160;Links to this post.

Malc in the Burgh: September 2010
http://malcintheburgh.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, 2 September 2010. This post is serving two functions. Firstly, it is a thank you to everyone who has read my ramblings over the past three years and voted for me in the Total Politics awards. I'm not folding MitB entirely, but I am recognising that the rate of posting has withered a bit over the past few months, and in that sense, it is all but done. And we hope it will be a collaboration of good quality work (well, each of the three of us made the Total Politics Top 10. 160;Links to this post.

My take on news and politics from the front line of schemie culture. Just watch for the flying bottles of buckie on your way out! Wednesday, 31 December 2014. In The Year Of Our Referendum, 2014. Buchanan Street, 13 September 2014 - the so called "ground war". For Scottish people, 2014 means only one thing. It was the year or our referendum, where we debated and discussed before voting on whether we should leave the union. In May they topped the poll in the UK part of the European Elections. The most con...

My take on news and politics from the front line of schemie culture. Just watch for the flying bottles of buckie on your way out! Monday, 19 January 2015. Je Suis Charlie - Except In Scotland. You know, 2015 has started in utterly rubbish fashion. Political parties gearing up for the oncoming UK General Election and utterly failing to understand the trouble ordinary people are in. Then there’s the attack on the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. That cover shows the prophet being killed by someone ...

My take on news and politics from the front line of schemie culture. Just watch for the flying bottles of buckie on your way out! Monday, 27 October 2014. The Political Suicide of Johann Lamont. A couple of years ago I wrote a post where I argued that if Labour wanted to win, they needed to dump their leader Johann Lamont. Now that the referendum campaign is… well we’ll maybe comeback to that one…. Now the vote has passed, Labour has come to that conclusion. There’s the allegation that the General ...

My take on news and politics from the front line of schemie culture. Just watch for the flying bottles of buckie on your way out! Wednesday, 27 May 2015. This is still a thing. The most striking thing about this episode is the sheer ineptitude of Carmichael. Alongside being worse than a doormat in government and being utterly useless at removing their own leader last year, the Lib Dems have truly shown themselves up over the past couple of years. Unless you’re Clive Ponting…. Even if he does have a point.
