Whilst going through each individual clip, I began to realise that for a smoother fade to occur, some of the clips would need some added hiss to the start and end. This way when fading the audio in and out, it is the hiss levels that are affected as opposed to some of the spoken words being affected. The clips I had to add hiss to were:. Dana – moved around. To create a documentary that delves into the real world of the homeless. An essay style documentary, aimed at audience of 16-28 years old. How our project is different and engaging:. We focus entirely on what the homeless have to say, which adds a more personal feel to the documentary. We first of all tried to put a 16:9 mask on the shots that weren’t 16:9, but unfortunately, this made the black bars double the size of those in the wide-screen shots.
