http://smallstreamreflections.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-farmington-river-and-old-glass.html
For those who love small streams, wild trout, and life.in their simplest form. Friday, August 7, 2015. The Farmington River, and a Old Glass Friend. Well this day he was outfitted with a Battenkill reel, a new 5wt line, and an attitude that old can be "good" too. We were off to fish the river where he started. The Cortland FR 2000 7ft 5wt. The cork shows the time spent on the rivers. The Farmington was in almost perfect shape. The weather was how I like it, some sun some clouds and a breeze. Even if you ...

Connecticut Fly Angler: Home Water
http://flyfishingcts.blogspot.com/2014/05/home-water.html
Tales of hunting any fish willing to eat some feathers tied on a hook. Friday, May 23, 2014. None of the trout to hand were all that big but one of the bigger boys did come up for and miss the Wulff. Regardless of size the wild trout were full of energy and very colorful. I did get two stockers way downstream, they rarely make it into the best stretch of stream. When they do and you catch one after landing tons of gorgeous stream born fish, you are disappointed. Can You Tell the Difference? It was a treat.

Connecticut Fly Angler: Oh, The Hit of a Pickerel
http://flyfishingcts.blogspot.com/2014/05/oh-hit-of-pickerel.html
Tales of hunting any fish willing to eat some feathers tied on a hook. Monday, May 26, 2014. Oh, The Hit of a Pickerel. Today I wanted to fish a pond that can only be fly fished from a boat or kayak. Unable to do so today, I traversed the shore throwing spinnerbaits and top water lures. I got one Largemouth on the spinnerbait, and one on a jig. Both took next to a sunken tree. Quit a few bass took the Heddon Torpedo. Looks like I'll need to get the dog biscuits and spun dear hair dry flies ready! Fish of...

Connecticut Fly Angler: 40 Inches of Atlantic Salmon on a Caddis
http://flyfishingcts.blogspot.com/2014/10/40-inches-of-brown-on-caddis.html
Tales of hunting any fish willing to eat some feathers tied on a hook. Sunday, October 12, 2014. 40 Inches of Atlantic Salmon on a Caddis. A month ago I spotted what I thought was a huge brown trout. Today my father and I set out to catch it. Of course, we expected the fish to be a meat eater, and in today's previous post I wrote about the mice and streamers that I hoped would find the fishes fancy. I'm just so glad my fly happened to look appetizing to a Salmon. On the car ride home we discussed the eve...
