SUBTROPICAL FLORIDA LICHEN HABITATS. Lichens are found just about everywhere in subtropical Florida. Some of the richest places are cypress wetlands, coastal mangroves and hammock and bayhead edges. Anna's karate exam: first blue patch. It's that time again. Anna had her Karate Exam in Kapolei for her first blue patch. She was very excited because this kata, apparently, has a jump in it. And to be honest, it was pretty cool to watch. I actually felt bad because I must have gotten the time wrong. When we arrived at the test, everyone had already concluded warm-ups and practices. Anna had to jump right into her test without any preparation or warmup! BUT, despite all of that, Anna did great! Seriously...
