Sara had a conference, and I got to tag along to enjoy the sun and take advantage of the golf courses. This is one of our dinners by the beach. Come on back for updates . . . Thursday, June 29, 2006. The entrance to Las Gaviotas, Baja Mexico. Las Gaviotas is a popular weekend getaway spot for the Southern Californian surfing community. It is like it's own vacation resort. There is a pool and hot tub on site, a fresh fish market in the morning after the local catch, as well as some great surf! We took some time to camp in Valentine, NE and cruise down the Niobrara River. Daisy loved the canoe trip! The weather was great, the water wasn't too cold, and the scenery was easy to enjoy.
