These two poems were written by soldiers at the time of the Moorosi war. Is a humorous poem written by a soldier, known only by the initials R.F.W. and published in the Cape Mercury on October 22, 1879. It suggests victory would be obtained through the sight of the soldiers ragged uniforms. The layout has been adapted from the original.
