Reasons I cannot ditch Firefox. 31 Jan, 2009. Since I made the switch to OS X over the past year, I’ve noticed that Firefox doesn’t zip along quite as fast on OS X as Safari does. So over the past few weeks, I’ve been trying to use Safari more…but it just hasn’t worked out. Safari seems to be the antithesis of Firefox when it comes to customization/extension. Yes, I’m aware of PimpMySafari. But it feels forced due to the lack of proper extension support in Safari. Plugin…but not sure).

Commit # Create a bare remote repository. Project.git [. 5 Nov, 2009.

Friday, September 29, 2006. Death of a medical student. I am shocked at the recent death of a medical student at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. New Delhi. Kamalla Raj Kiran was training to be a doctor at AIIMS, where he contracted a disease called " Dengue. And died in the same hospital where he was aspiring to be a doctor. This story essentially highlights the sad state of sanitation at the apex body of health in India. While AIIMS boasts of being the best. Yes it is time! But given the cu...

Frefox 3: Enable Spell Check in Text Boxes (not just textarea fields). By default, Firefox 3 will spell check textarea fields (the memo or multiline text fields), but it doesn't check regular text boxes (the single lined variety). Here's how to enable spell check on both the single and multilined text boxes. 1 Open Firefox 3. 2 In the Location Bar, input about:config. 3 Click to get past the warning message that appears. 4 Locate the Preference Name layout.spellcheckDefault. Monday, June 30, 2008. It was...

Hardware and Software Development. Razor sucks, XSLT rules! Posted on 09 Jul 2012 at 8:58 PM. This seemed to induce a change of mind with people not being able to cope with XML and all the tools available to them. New, useless and very limited template languages popped up, rapid development frameworks and new text-representations of object-oriented data structures, like YAML and JSON, the latter one being the cancer of Web 2.0. Let's pick on JSON, because it is an easy target:. In my opinion, it might be...

Farmdev: What's Happening at Mozilla?

What's Happening at Mozilla? By kumar on Monday Sep 19th, 2011 at 2:50pm. Most people at Mozilla are remote so each quarter we sync up face to face as a group for an all-hands meeting. There are over 600 employees! We of course sync up in smaller groups more frequently but this is a chance to see what's going on across the entire Mozilla horizon. So what's happening at Mozilla? What if you could boot your phone to the web? What if you didn't need a separate login for every site you use? Mozilla's Django ...
