Stitches by Laura: September 2014
https://stitchesbylaura.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 28, 2014. As you may know, most of my sewing time is spent making bags and memory quilts. But, I also love to sew clothing. I was lucky enough to be chosen as a part of the blog tour for the Perfect Pattern Parcel #5! Don't know what that is? It is a collection of fabulous patterns from indie designers and the proceeds go to Donors Choose and help the educational journey of many children. You basically get to choose your own price for 5 patterns and possibly a bonus 6th! The pattern inc...

Easy swim cover-ups | Kathleen Sews
https://kathleensews.wordpress.com/2014/07/19/easy-swim-cover-ups
A portfolio of my sewing projects. July 19, 2014. I found some cute beach towels on sale last week, then went surfing on pinterest to find easy cover-ups that I could make out of them. My main requirement was that the towel was still useable as a towel… ie, it could lay flat. Plus, I only picked up one towel for my daughter and one for myself, so any two-towel methods were not going to work. Then I found this pin. Ignore the Olaf photo bombs, LOL, my daughter was not into posing! Two small hair elastics.

Girl’s patriotic outfit | Kathleen Sews
https://kathleensews.wordpress.com/2013/06/06/girls-patriotic-outfit
A portfolio of my sewing projects. Girl’s patriotic outfit. June 6, 2013. I made this patriotic dress for my daughter right before Memorial Day. And as I mentioned, I was a little concerned that the points on the cutout star on the back wouldn’t stay up over time. True enough, after a couple washes, they started flopping around. So I got some thin red ribbon (with cute little white polka dots) and went about solving the problem! 8221; tutorial from ikat bag. Once I had the pocket sewn together and fl...

Bloomin' Where We're Planted. Thursday, April 4, 2013. The Return of SuperMom-{Picture Overload! Gotta check her stuff out, it was fantastic, also another super duper amazing blow your mind artist was Jessica Grundy. I bought a small wooden block print of Lainey, then i bought a book called SkyBound. By James Morris-an up and coming young author/musician. His book is amazing and it is part one of a trilogy. Gotta read it folks! But I know you are all wanting to see some pics so here you go:.
