SharePoint Blues, et.al.

SharePoint Blues, et.al. My foray into the world of Sharepoint and beyond. Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Enabling Hibernate for Server 2008. I recently had the need to install Windows Server 2008 R2 with the Hyper-V role on my laptop. At first I was happy since it pretty much got me over the hump of being able to run all of the 64-bit VMs that I was using to do my work. I finally stumbled on an article by John Savill. I took an excerpt from that article that just shows what changes need to be done:. Have ...

SharePoint Blues, et.al.: December 2008

http://sharepointblues.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

SharePoint Blues, et.al. My foray into the world of Sharepoint and beyond. Monday, December 1, 2008. It's now almost end of 2008 and I haven't posted anything since I moved. Let me tell you it's a year full of challenges. And ever the optimist,I think everything's going to turn out ok come year end. I just want to have something that becomes useful for SharePoint developers, administrators and maybe the architects? That's all for now. Posted by Joe Burgos. Links to this post. SharePoint Blues, et.al.: Switching between 32-bit and 64-bit ASP.NET on an x64 O/S

http://sharepointblues.blogspot.com/2009/08/switching-between-32-bit-and-64-bit.html

SharePoint Blues, et.al. My foray into the world of Sharepoint and beyond. Tuesday, August 11, 2009. Switching between 32-bit and 64-bit ASP.NET on an x64 O/S. I keep running into this issue since most samples that come with components that I use typically run on a 32-bit platform. Since our company's usually at the bleeding edge of MS technologies, we've had to use 64-bit versions of the O/S (and any other MS product that is available in x64 versions). Posted by Joe Burgos.

SharePoint Blues, et.al. My foray into the world of Sharepoint and beyond. Thursday, January 10, 2008. It's been awhile since I wrote my last post. The Anti-Virus issue was resolved when my AV guy made changes to the Symantec AV scanning engine. I went back to the SharePoint back-end database (I know it's not advisable to make any changes to the database directly) and cleared out the AV field. I did a quick test and was able to access the older versions (yes! Posted by Joe Burgos. Links to this post.

SharePoint Blues, et.al.: A light at the end of the tunnel

http://sharepointblues.blogspot.com/2007/11/light-at-end-of-tunnel.html

SharePoint Blues, et.al. My foray into the world of Sharepoint and beyond. Wednesday, November 7, 2007. A light at the end of the tunnel. The main question that comes to mind is why is the scanner looking at older versions in the first place? It was already scanned going in and why does it only happen 48 hours after (when checking in a new version, the prior version is accessible within the 48-hour period after which it becomes "locked" away)? Good questions, right? Posted by Joe Burgos.
