DTD Lives in 2011: September 2010
http://dtddynamite.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
DTD Lives in 2011. So on Sunday morning we woke up and took the early ferry to Saturna. The island up ahead is Saturna and there's our moving truck. They didn't have the right size truck for some reason so they gave us a bigger one at no extra cost. Normally that'd be great, except we had to pay more for the ferry! Luckily almost everything fit inside the van. The couch would make a cool new back seat for the van. Here's their old house on Saturna. We spent the rest of the morning. We stayed longer than m...

DTD Lives in 2011: May 2010

DTD Lives in 2011. This year on the May long weekend I went to the Meadowlark festival. I went with those who have gone every year, my two little sisters. And my mom and dad. It takes 4 to 5 hours to drive from Surrey to Penticton and we left Friday morning. I took my laptop with me because these days it's not a good idea for me to completely take a weekend off work. I did most of my work on the ride there and the ride back. Unfortunately the campsites were not very good, with rocks spread out all over t...

DTD Lives in 2011. Gordon's Graduation and BBQs. This last weekend was an action packed one. Well, at least there were a lot of events and I ate a LOT. This weekend was Gordon's convocation ceremony on Friday afternoon and then a party for him at his place on Saturday evening. In between these two events I went to 2 BBQs. Here's what it looked like when we were done with it. Pretty bare! Uh, not a "she", Rob, and no. Around 1pm Diego, the organizer of the event, showed up with this food which he claimed ...

But, I have to admit the scene with Garazo was fun to write and running past Danar like that was just too funny to NOT do. Hahaha! Anyway, tune in next week for more hijinks on this crazy Aquan vacation. See ya next time! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Starbolt Productions Youtube Channel. Atop the Fourth Wall.

DTD Lives in 2011. On Friday I went to the Sledge Hockey match for 5th place. With a group from my work at the hospital. The Czech Republic was playing. When they met before in the preliminary round, the Czech Republic won 4-2, but this game went rather slow with very little scoring. Korea was controlling the puck most of the time during the first couple periods. Then a couple minutes into overtime they scored again. The whole team skated around the ice waving to the fans. Sledge hockey was fun to watch,...

DTD Lives in 2011: Vote on Monday
http://dtddynamite.blogspot.com/2011/04/vote-on-monday.html
DTD Lives in 2011. If you live in Canada and you're old enough then you need to vote on Monday, May 2nd, 2011. Starting in 1867, voter turn out has always been between 60-80% but in the last election it was a record low of 58.8%. I am not sure why so little of the population turned out to vote, but I really hope more people care about this election. Apparently there has been more than 2 million people vote in advance, so that is awesome. Which Canada will You vote for? Well they also provide a page with ...

DTD Lives in 2011: February 2011
http://dtddynamite.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
DTD Lives in 2011. We arrived in Vegas around 7:30pm, too late to go to the opening reception for the conference. We were also exhausted. We stayed at the Wyndham Grand Desert hotel. We dropped our stuff everywhere in the big suite. We had the one at the end of the hall that takes up the whole width of the building but also requires you to walk the whole length of it after you get off the elevator. When you're on the strip everything is so big and they've also copied monuments from other parts of the wor...

DTD Lives in 2011. Out of the Grand Canyon. The next morning we woke up bright and early, had some quick breakfast, packed up and hit the trail. We started by going across the other suspension bridge. The sun was shining, just not making it into the inner canyon. The trail followed the Colorado river for twenty minutes or so. Then we were heading up a valley out of the inner canyon. There were 3 or 4 streams we had to cross by. Hopping from stone to stone or stepping on logs. The look back became more an...
