Sunday, 7 December 2008. Eagles hang on to playoff hopes by beating NFC leading Giants. Eagles 20 - 14 Giants. Just when you thought the Eagles' playoff chances were dead and buried, they pull off one of the results of the season, beating the Giants on their own turf, and in doing so they throw themselves back into the mix in the NFC. It was a must-win game for the Eagles if they were to have any chance of making the postseason, but ironically Philly got it done by beating New York. At their own game.
